| Details | The Burgess Hill Teddy Bears Picnic, the dedicated pre-school and baby event returns for 2026 on Monday 6th July. It’ll run 11.30am-2pm at the new location of Worlds End Recreation Park, with activities planned specifically for under 5’s! Join in the parachute song time led by The Kings Church, enjoy rhyme time with Burgess Hill Library and read a book with Gobbledy Books. Guess the name of the teddy bear with Water Babies, play the recycling sorting game with WSCC Waste Prevention Team and create a mini sand picture to take home. Meet the team from Windmills Opportunity Playgroup and have a chat about your childcare needs, guess how many ducks in the jar with Crest Swim School and play with the trains with Little Explorers Nursery & Preschool. Keep your eyes peeled for The Burgess Hill District Lions mascot between 11.30am-1pm, and join in the bubble fun with Bubblemania too! There’ll be a host of other charities and businesses offering activities too, including WSCC Early Help Team, St Edward’s Church, Time4Children, Burgess Hill Girls and WSCC’s HAF Team. Don’t forget to have a bounce on the two free inflatables too, which have been kindly funded by Burgess Hill District Lions. If you’re in need of a coffee or sweet treat, there will be a coffee van, ice cream truck and crepe van on site to purchase items from. There is no need to book ahead of the day either, just register at the Town Council gazebo on arrival. So, bring a picnic and your teddy bear too, we can’t wait to see you and your little ones there! |
