About Mid Sussex Radio

Mid Sussex Radio serves, as the name suggests, the Mid Sussex area. We're an Ofcom licenced Community Radio Station broadcasting on 103.8FM and also available online through your PC, tablet, or smartphone, using the RadioPlayer App, which is free! We're also available through internet radio and Alexa. You can also find us on Sky TV, just look under Apps for the RadioPlayer App. Don't worry, it's only sound not vision!

We broadcast on FM to central and south Mid Sussex, covering an area that includes Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Bolney, Cowfold, Handcross, Ardingly, North Chailey, South Chailey, Plumpton, Ditchling, Hassocks, Hurstpierpoint, Sayers Common, Hickstead and Goddards Green.

Our online service is available worldwide and you can listen to us to keep up with what's going on in your community when you're on holiday, working abroad or simply outside our FM broadcast range.

Our music policy ranges from the 1960's up to the present day and we showcase new music from local unsigned bands and artists too! We do our best to keep our listeners up to date with local news, forthcoming events, traffic and travel and matters of local interest. We host interviews with local councillors, businesses, community groups, societies and local people who have something they want to say to the community.

We support local businesses, organisations and individuals with cost-effective and value-for-money advertising and sponsorship packages and this how we raise money to keep the radio station running. Sometimes we receive donations from local organisations like the Burgess Hill District Lions and we have successfully applied for grants from Burgess Hill Town Council and Mid Sussex District Council.

Mid Sussex Radio is a Community Interest Company. This means we've no shareholders and any profit which we make through advertising and sponsorship is reinvested into the radio station to help maintain the equipment and improve the service that we offer to you, our listener! We have no paid staff, everyone is a volunteer giving their time free of charge. We're always looking for new volunteers and you can help us in a variety of different roles. If you like the idea of presenting your own radio show we can make that happen, even if you've never done it before! We'll train you and help you get started.

We have an Outside Events Team that's available for hire. We can supply experienced presenters, a full PA system and lighting, music and active participation in your event.
