Football, Fun and Fundraising – Join the Mayor's Charity Football Fun Day! Residents are invited to enjoy an afternoon of football, family fun and fundraising at the Football Fun Day on Friday 24th July, from 12.30pm to 5.00pm, at Hanbury Stadium, home of Haywards Heath Town Football Club in Allen . Organised by Haywards Heath Town Council, the event is raising money for the Mayor's Charity of the Year, Kangaroos, a much-loved local charity that provides activities, opportunities and support for children and adults with learning disabilities. Entry to the event is completely free, making it the perfect opportunity for families, friends and football fans to come together for a fun-filled summer afternoon while supporting a fantastic local cause. Whether you're cheering from the sidelines, taking part in the activities or simply enjoying theatmosphere, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. The highlight of the afternoon will be an exciting 5-a-side football tournament, with eight teams competing for the coveted trophy. Spectators can also look forward to seeing one of the teams take to the pitch dressed as kangaroos in support of the charity - a sight that is sure to raise plenty of smiles as well as vital funds. Away from the football, there will be plenty to keep the whole family entertained. Children can enjoy unlimited access to five giant inflatables for just £10, provided by CB Event Group, as well as a variety of giant garden games. Visitors can also try their luck in the raffle, featuring some fantastic prizes, orhave a go at the tombola, with every ticket purchased helping to support Kangaroos. No fun day would be complete without great food and refreshments. The Rapid Relief Team will be serving up a delicious BBQ throughout the afternoon, with proceeds helping to raise even more money for the charity. Simmos Café will also be open on site with their licensed bar, making it easy for visitorsto relax and make the most of the day. Keeping the energy high throughout the event will be Giggle Beats, who will be compering the afternoon and providing music to create a lively, festival-style atmosphere from start to finish.
