| Details | Haywards Heath Town Council is pleased to announce the return of its annual Carers Event, taking place on Thursday 18th June 2026, from 10:30am to 2:30pm at the Town Hall. This much-loved event is dedicated to recognising and supporting the invaluable contribution of unpaid carers across the community. The event is open to residents of Haywards Heath and surrounding towns and villages, welcoming anyone who provides unpaid care for a family member, partner, friend, or neighbour living with illness, frailty, disability, mental health conditions, SEND, or addiction. The day offers carers a well-deserved opportunity to relax, recharge, and enjoy a range of free activities designed to promote wellbeing and connection. Following the success of previous years, this year’s event promises another uplifting programme including pampering treatments, creative workshops, and wellbeing advice. A highlight of the day will be a hands-on planting activity led by Sylvia Harris of the Haywards Heath Horticultural Society, offering participants a chance to enjoy a calming, creative gardening experience. The plants used in the activity have been generously gifted by Glendale, further enhancing the community spirit of the event. Pre-booking is essential, as places are limited. To secure a space, please call 01444 455694 or visit Haywards Heath Town Hall, 40 Boltro Road, RH16 1BA. This year’s event is kindly supported by P&S Gallagher, who is providing one of the activities, and by South East Water and Martlet Manor, who are sponsoring the gift bags provided to attendees as a gesture of appreciation for the vital role carers play in the community. |
